Vincent Carmelo Ciurleo was born in Martone, Reggio Calabria, Italy in 1929, to Giuseppe and Marietta Caristo Ciurleo. He immigrated to America with his younger brother Silvio after the death of his mother in 1948. After serving in the United States Army, he met and married Philomena Corona, his loving wife of sixty eight years.
He is survived by his wife, Philomena, his brothers; Ralph and Frank (Mary), and his four children; Marietta (Robert), Virginia (John), Vincent (Helen) and Susanne (Kevin). He also leaves behind nine grandchildren; Ashley (John), Alexandra (Winston), Ariel, Amanda (James), Vincent, Stephanie, Samantha (Joseph), Mark and Jessica (Salvatore) who were the joy of his life. Vincent was also blessed with five great grandchildren who brought him such delight - Georgia, Lucy, Jack, Luke, and Leo. Also surviving Vincent, are his brothers and sisters in law; Victor, Linda, Sandra, and Diana, and many nieces and nephews.
Vincent was hard working, generous, loving, caring, strong and intelligent. He was the center of our lives and we are eternally blessed to have had him as the Head of our Family. He will be missed.
