Obituary

Richard E. Kessler, age 90, passed away on June 15, 2021. Born in Theresa, NY and resident of Pennsylvania, Richard served honorably in the United States Army, was a Medical Doctor employed at the Veterans Administration in New York City, New York and taught Anatomy at NYU. Richard was a man of great integrity. He believed in accountability and always doing the right thing. Author of the book, "Bitter Medicine", Richard had an artistic flair for water colors. He loved feeding the deer, gardening, fishing, traveling all over the world, loved his second home in Hana Maui, wearing his favorite Hawaiian shirts and adored his family. Predeceased by his wife; Sheila and grandson; Ryan Halligan, Richard is survived by his children; Colleen Thompson, Kelly Halligan, Kara Sladky, Charles Sladky, Evan Griffith, Stephanie Griffith, grandchildren; Crystal Barry, Charles Sladky Jr., Megan Schell, Robert Sladky, Ellise Conley, Conor Halligan, Gina Sladky, Dena Sladky, Emmanuel Sladky, Hope Griffith, one great grandchild; Mark Barry and was looking forward to his second great grandchild on the way; Baby Conley.
