Rafael Garay Obituary

Rafael Garay, age 77, passed away on May 23, 2021 at Stony Brook University Hospital. Born in El Salvador and resident of Center Moriches, NY, Rafael was a fun-loving family man. He enjoyed socializing at parties, going to the beach, listening to music, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Rafael was a gifted man. He sang beautifully, played the guitar and worked with his hands; from building custom cabinetry to crafting many different types of guitars with fine detail. His love of dogs was immeasurable; especially his dog, Pooch Garay.

Rafael is survived by his wife; Ana Daysi, children; Vilma Pena, Rosa Alvarez, Melissa Brennin, Rafael Garay, Jr., Carlos Garay, Sandra Garay, Ana Garay, Gabriel Garay, many grandchildren, one great grandchild, and sister; Miriam Garay.
